Enhanced DBS Checks

In order to work in the health and social care field, you will require a valid, Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

An Enhanced DBS is a security check at the highest level and is a requirement for work involving children or vulnerable adults. This check will include details of all convictions on record (both spent and unspent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974). Furthermore, all Enhanced DBS Disclosures involve an extra level of checking with your local police force records in addition to checks with the Police National Computer (PNC) and the government department lists held by the Department for Education and Skills and the Department of Health, where appropriate.  These additional checks do take longer to process but are required. PlaceMe UK's checks are processed daily and our results usually return within 3-5 days. Your application for a DBS check will be processed via the e-bulk service normally only available to high volume users.

To use our service, you will need to be registered with us and provide a copy of your valid passport or driving licence which shows your date of birth, your National Insurance number as well as a utility bill, bank statement that is dated within 3 months and that shows your home address.

Our fee for the Enhanced DBS check is £64 and includes registration on the Yearly Update Service.
